National Policies
Engineers Canada's national policies express beliefs and convictions that are widely shared the organization and its member associations and ordre. The policies address matters of concern to the engineering profession, and create a framework for the profession to address them in a consistent and meaningful way. Engineers Canada has developed detailed action plans to facilitate policy implementation at the national level.
The national policies developed by Engineers Canada are not binding on its members, which have the legal authority to regulate the practice of engineering in Canada and license professional engineers. Engineers Canada has no regulatory authority in its own right, but provides national coordination and support to promote consistency in the licensing and regulatory practices of its members.
