2012 Call for Entries
Engineers Canada invites entries for the 2012 Engineers Canada National Scholarship Program. Seven cash prizes totaling $70,000 will be awarded to worthy Canadian engineers in support of advanced studies and research.
To be considered for a scholarship you must:
- be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada;
- be registered as an engineer (P.Eng.) or ingénieur (ing.) in good standing with your provincial/territorial engineering association/ordre;
- Note 1: Engineers-in-training (across Canada) or junior engineers at l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec are not eligible to apply for a scholarship;
- Note 2: Post-doctoral fellows are not eligible to apply for a scholarship.
The following scholarships will be awarded:

Three Engineers Canada-Manulife Financial scholarships valued at $12,500 each to provide financial assistance to engineers returning to university for further study or research in an engineering field. Candidates must be accepted or registered, no later than September 2012, in a faculty of engineering.

One Engineers Canada-TD Insurance Meloche Monnex Léopold Nadeau scholarship valued at $10,000 to provide financial assistance to an engineer returning to university for further study or research in an area of public policy development. The field of study chosen, whether it is engineering or another subject area, should favour the acquisition of knowledge pertinent to better serve the public interest by bringing the perspective of the engineering profession. Candidates must be accepted or registered, no later than September 2012, in a master’s or doctoral program that will greatly enhance their expertise, abilities and potential to influence the development of public policy.

Three Engineers Canada-TD Insurance Meloche Monnex scholarships valued at $7,500 each to provide financial assistance to engineers returning to university for further study or research in a field other than engineering. The field of study chosen should favour the acquisition of knowledge which enhances performance in the engineering profession. Candidates must be accepted or registered, no later than September 2012, in a faculty other than engineering.
Deadline for submitting applications in all categories is March 1, 2012.
