Engineers Canada Board

The Engineers Canada Board is the organization's policy-setting body. Although Engineers Canada's standing committees can formulate policy on behalf of the Board, only the Board can adopt or approve policy. It is responsible for determining the overall direction of Engineers Canada, inspiring volunteers, and setting expectations for the organization through careful deliberation and the establishment of effective policies. As part of this activity, it approves Engineers Canada's annual budget and business plan. The Board also monitors the performance of the people, committees, or groups it tasks with implementing Engineers Canada policies, directions and objectives, to ensure successful and timely outcomes. It is similarly responsible for taking remedial action when or if necessary. The Board reports to Engineers Canada's member associations at the Annual Meeting of Members.
